The Informant
A struggling television actor is mistaken for a confidential informant by a rookie FBI agent and inadvertently becomes embedded in a real FBI operation against a New York crime family—believing the entire ordeal is simply his next acting role.
The Informant combines crime-thriller stakes with a mistaken-identity engine built around an actor who does not realize the danger surrounding him is real.
